Why did I create a business called Stream717?

I started Stream717 as a business as part of my journey of becoming an online content creator around my passion for video games. I started streaming as BirdMan717 during the pandemic as a hobby and wanted to keep going as I progressed and learned this exciting world of content creation.

I was required to create a business to accept donations during live streams. To set that up (I can do a blog on that process if you would like (leave a comment if you are interested)).

What is Stream717?

Stream717 is registered as a "Performing arts company" based on the business model of content creation company that is funded by donations.

My plan is to blog and create revenue through donations, social media partnerships, and Amazon affiliate links in blogs and other social media posts.

I wanted a business name that was not focused on gaming but could eventually evolve into a business that could help others do the same as me or even create content through contract work as my skills mature. Essentially, I wanted the ability to be agile to adapt and evolve as new opportunities opened up to Stream717.

So, where are we today?

Today, I am creating content primarily focused on gaming content for BirdMan717 on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. I plan on returning to the live streaming once golf season is over, but I have been thinking about how I could bring Stream717 to the course as well... I am just not that good, haha.

What is next?

I am working on a new YouTube channel focused on simple videos that are relaxing or distracting for kids with the help of my two-year-old daughter's feedback. I plan on returning to live streams and maybe finally getting some revenue coming in now that I have finally setup a decent site with an easy blog workflow using Wix.
